Takuya Ashizaki - Abo Fisheries

Takuya Ashizaki was born as the successor of the family business, Abo Fisheries, which is fishery with fixed shore traps. But, Takuya who is the man of ideas couldn't stay in that business only. Growing up in his hometown, after having graduated from Rakuno Gakuen Univ, he had worked for Meiji Holdings Co.,Ltd. for years to study chemicals, then, he now runs a couple of his own businesses other than his succeeded family business like "Igetaya" which is handling various secondary processing products and "Chemicle" that is recycling resources. Although both are relating to the fishery industry in Rausu, it is quite natural of him to go beyond existing environment on thinking about his talent, energy and enthusiasm. He used to be selected as one of the members of all Hokkaido in Rugby. It proves that he is not only the man of the book smart also that of the street smart. 

He is also deeply involved in the management of the National Park which is one of the World Heritage, Shiretoko.

It seems like contradiction for the man of ability like him, but in his vision, the growth is not only the purpose to pursue. The more important issue for him is to keep a good balance in the various elements in the area like welcoming the more visitors, but keeping the population stable for the environment. That’s his mission as growing up and living in the town of the World Heritage. A kind of pure SDGs native he is.
